Reflections on the Past
Mom
My mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, the likelihood of her living was very small. She got in contact with one of the best doctors in the world, he was in Minnesota. I still remember that day when my dad and I dropped her off at the airport, even though I was young and wasn’t sure of the whole situation, I was in tears. After that my dad tried to cheer me up by taking me to a Diamondbacks game, it was fun until I saw a plane flying over the stadium and that reminded me that my mom was going to be gone for a long time, maybe forever. My mother ended up coming back to Arizona where she went through grueling chemotherapy. Somehow she came out fine and to this day she has been healthy, with the exception of a kidney transplant, which made her feel even better. This has taught me to never look past a moment, always tell your family you love them, and live life to its fullest because you never know whats to come.
